Protel’s Energy project reporting extends throughout the UK and includes a very specific range of power generation schemes. The focus is on projects with a high process content, either in connection with the fuel type – such as the production of biogas and syngas – or related to outputs such as heat and steam.
In order to concentrate on projects with a wide spread of supply opportunities, the minimum power output for Energy project reporting is 5MWe. Projects with a lower output may also be reported where they provide ‘Inside the Fence’ or ‘Over the Fence’ generation for large industrial users. Most reported projects are new builds or significant expansions of existing plants, and all have a breadth of scope to include a wide range of process equipment and associated services.
Protel’s research team are currently investigating and tracking more than 250 active projects in the Energy sector, nearly all on separate sites, with a combined value in excess of £10.3 billion (€ 11.6 billion).
One of the most important features of Protel’s project reporting is the inclusion of key decision makers and our Energy projects database currently includes more than 1,700 contacts with roles encompassing:
- External consultants
- Technology providers
- Design
- Engineering
- EPC contractors
- Equipment specification & selection
