Protel’s Chemical project reporting extends throughout the UK and covers all aspects of product development and manufacturing across the industry from downstream processing to finished products. A general decline in traditional chemical manufacture has contrasted with an increase in the processing of waste streams and renewables.

Projects range from plant upgrades and modifications to expansions and complete new builds, all with a breadth of scope to include a wide range of process equipment and associated services. Protel’s focus on the processing aspects of projects includes the production environment and ancillary services such as hazardous areas, utilities, effluent treatment and laboratories.

Protel’s research team are currently investigating and tracking more than 250 active projects in the Chemical sector across c.120 sites, with a combined value in excess of £10.3 billion (€11.4 billion).
